We prayed and waited . God showed us a need right under our nose so to speak. I worked with a young lady, expecting her first child. She had to go on maturnity leave a week early because of complications. Her husband was unemployed at the time. We invited them over for dinner and listened and shared God’s love. As a Law Enforcement Officer here in Baldwin County I come in contact with people in need on a regular basis. I felt confident the moment I was handed this envelope to hold until I met its rightful owner, I would likely be on duty when this occurred. I recently attended the Mississippi Fire Chief’s conference in Hattiesburg, and felt that I just needed to have my faith stimulus envelope with me. Not long into the first day of the conference the fire chief from a small department in the Vicksburg area told us a tragic story about his assistant chief. They had just returned from a late evening call, and the assistant chief quickly made his way home. He arrived and found his two kids asleep with mom, so he placed the kids back in their room and went on to bed. A little while later the house caught on fire. Read more »

I met this man who is in his late 50’s. He just found out he has leukemia a few weeks ago. On top of this he is a severe diabetic, has had 5 heart bypasses, all of his family mother, father, and siblings all died by age 55. I have been holding onto the money just waiting for the right time to do something with it. He told me his story we prayed together and because he has so much negative in his life at this time I wanted him to have a positive. As I prayed about this money to help someone. I came across a family that has a 11 month old daughter. Her name is Destiny Hope Worley and she was born with Dextacardia. This means she was born with her heart on the right side of her chest and not her left. She also has two holes in her heart and several other medical conditions. After recieving the money to bless someone, my husband and I felt it should go to a young couple in our neighborhood. Recenty they had their second child and it was sent to UAB for heart complications. While they were in Birmingham a tornado hit their house.
