Jesus Loves Me
You know, I know the Lord is always going before us to make a road for His plans, and I love when I get to see those times. About 2 months ago, the Lord spoke to me one night about ordering a bunch of copies of a book that I had read over 25 years ago, and is now out of print. I found the ministry site and was able to get 100 copies of this book, simply titled “Jesus Loves Me”. I had no idea what the Lord wanted me to do with these, and still don’t see the full extent, I am sure. But part of the picture is in focus and it has to do with “Just Because”. Read more »
An urge to do something
On Wednesday morning I was on my way to Montgomery with a few fellow employees to the Woods Auction to drop off some equipment to sale from my father’s company. We stopped off at Denny’s just short of our exit to get a bite to eat, and to fuel up. Just as we were about to finish eating there was a group of 4 military people that walked in and sat down beside us. At first I did not think anything of it, but as time went on there was an urge for me to do something. Read more »
A Chick-Fil-A kind of day
Monday morning I was driving to work enjoying my worship music and trying to decide if I’d go by Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. As I made a left turn to go into the mall, I heard a small voice tell me to look into my rearview mirror. I noticed a maroon van make the turn also. I really didn’t think much about it until I made a right turn into the mall and the van did also. I thought, well, someone works in here and I kept driving. I glanced into my rearview again as I made a left to get to Chick-Fil-A and noticed she did the same. At that point I said to myself , if she turns in to Chick-Fil-A…..and before I could finish she turned. I didn’t understand why I was so intrigued about this particular van making every turn I did then it hit me!!! This was my chance!!! This woman was about to be ‘just becaused’!!! Read more »

The Act of Giving
It is a great joy when God shows you little hidden treasures that we over look in our busy lives. The first card I used was at a drive-thru at McDonalds. I paid for the car behind me, and as I told the cashier what to do with the card I realized the look on her face; she was so full of joy to do that for me, she said you have a blessed day too. I think when we share God’s love it just spreads, I am going to buy her lunch one day too. I am believing the Love of God will be shed abroad in a lot of hearts through this.. AMEN and let it be so.

Christ-like Car Wash
The sun was shining bright and we were washing cars to raise money for an upcoming missions trip to Juarez, MX. We had washed car, after car, after car and we kept getting more and more sunburnt! I was so caught up in getting the cars in and out so quick, then this gentleman walked up to me to pay for having his car washed, he gave me the money and then also gave me more money wrapped around a “just because” card and pointed to the car after his in line and said that his car was on him and to give him the card. I knew some about this outreach from twitter and I was so happy to be a small part in this.
After it all happened I realized that more times in a day we could all do something small or big to help someone out. It moved me. Not long after that a very kind lady that knows the ministry that I’m a part of stopped by and give us some homemade brownies “just because”! So all in all it was a Just Because day!

Scouting for a Cause
I was getting off I-10 onto Hwy 98 and there was a homeless man looking for help. I had just bought 2 boxes of girl scout cookies the day before and had them in the front seat. So I rolled down the window and gave them to him. As I pulled away the song “let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me” came on. It was God speaking to me and acknowledging my deed and reminding me to keep going. It was on my mind all day afterwards and I took extra steps to be helpful the rest of the day to others. It has changed my view of the world. I am truly grateful to have the love of God in my heart.

He is still with her
I couldn’t just walk away
I went to school one day and I was in my fourth block Spanish class where I saw a bag on my teachers desk that said ‘Luna Donations’. I said, “Mrs.Hunter what is this for?” She told me the story and it broke my heart. A little boy who was in first grade got sick and went to the hospital. They thought it was a stomach bug but it turned out he had a bacterial infection, inflammation in his spine, and they did not know what was going on with him. Read more »
