I’d like to share our story. A few years ago, a man that I worked with died. He left behind a wife and two young boys. These boys loved their dad so much. He was a very big part of their lives! It has been extremely tough for them. I see the wife every now and then around town, and I know that they are struggling financially. I knew exactly what I was going to do with the faith stimulus money when it was given out. One of the boys went to school with my son, so when he found out what I was doing, he gave me his envelope. Then my daughter and her friend gave me theirs also to give.

There was a little boy I taught in second grade and then I was fortunate enough to once again teach him in fourth grade this past year. The tragedy is that his mother was murdered, and that left his little brother and little sister and him alone. The children are being taken care of by their great grandmother and their grandmother who has cancer. I grew to be close with his mother and his great grandmother through the year I taught him second grade. There was a trust fund set up for the children and that is where the money was placed. I really felt that the money could help the children in the future whether it be for school or just necessities. thank you for alowing us to bless others.

My family and I saw a woman whose car was broke down in Pensacola on May 15. It was about 8:30 P.m. and we went over to see if we could help. When we got there there was actually a whole family there and the husband was trying to fix the battery and alternator. The family was from Turkey and have only been in the country for about a month. They were at the toy store to get their son a birthday present. The husband was the only one who spoke english and said they had been out there for three hours and no one stopped to help them. We got his car running well enough to get them home that night, which is in Crestview Florida. The husband told me that he had a very good job in Turkey but got the opportunity to bring his family to the U.S. and has not had any success finding a job. I gave him my phone number when we left them and he called me the Friday before the stimulus was given and wanted to come over to my house and thank us for helping them. When the money was handed out my whole family knew what we were going to do with it. They came over the next week and had dinner with us and visited with us for an evening and after we ate we gave them the money in the envelope. His wife started to cry and he said that he would not have taken the money if I had tried to give it to him on the street. I told him that God instructed me to help him and he received it thanking God. He has since then found a job in security at a large hotel in Destin and his family has hope in a new country where he wanted his children to be blessed.

Me and my family attended the Sunday middle service, and like many people were surprised by the outcome of the money in the envelopes. It was a good encouragement to do something good for someone, but in my case God wanted our family to bless 6 families. As soon as we received the envelopes God had told me to take what ever we got and multiply it by a certain number and that would be the amount to seperate to the 6 people. So here are the people that Bay Community Church, and God have helped us bless.

1.Allan- this is a man with kidney cancer. He is currently in a hospital in Pensacola.I personally delivered the envelope with a letter explaining what the church had done and what the money was for.I have been receiving information from a good friend of mine that goes to church with him.He said the family was very appreciated for all we did.It really makes me feel good to have the opportunity to bless people, even when you do not know them.

2.Diana-this is a woman with breast cancer. She is currently at home. She has been through numerous radiation treatments and as been very weak and extremly sick. This is a very kind and sweet woman that our family really cares for.We have continually prayed for God to be with her and to help her through this difficult time.We gave the envelope to her work to give to her, she was too sick to be seeing people. We just continue to pray for her and hope to see her soon.

3.Mike’s Family – this is a friend of mine that had throat cancer.Mike was an employee of an company that we did business with.Up until he found out he had cancer I had never did nothing but talk to him on the phone. One day my sister had emailed him by accident, the email was about the blood of Jesus can help you with anything. She had told me before she left to go home what had happened. When I was fixing to go home I checked the emails and Mike had emailed us back. The email totally shocked me.He said thank you guys for the email I really needed that I just found out that I have throat cancer.I was in total shock and I told my sister and she could not believe it either. He battled the cancer like a fierce warrior but he went to be with the lord on 5-15-09.I had the opportunity to meet him before he died in the hospital in Mississippi. He was an incredible person and good friend, and I will never forget the encounter I had with him that day.I took some of the money and put it on an envelope with a letter and drove to Purvis, Miss where his wife lived. When I got there I found out that the address that I had was wrong, so I finally got her phone number and called and got no answer. So I pondered what to do I was 2 and half hrs away from home.I decided to leave the money at a Church of God.She finally received the money, and was so thankful for it.

4.Jimmy-this is a man that had cancer. He lived in Semmes, I never had the privledge to meet him.I know from talking to his wife that he was a very special person. He went to be with the Lord on 4-15-09.Me and my wife purchased their tea-cup poodle kennel. His wife has been an incredible inspiration for my family.I can say for myself that she has been like a mentor for the Lord. She has talked to me and showed me things that have blowed me away.I went to her house after I had went to the man’s house in Purvis, Mississippi. When I arrived there she was not there so I thought about what to do, and I started writing a letter to her and it was not very long and she pulled up.We went inside and I told her about what had went on at the church and she said that was incredible. Then I told her that I wanted to bless her with one of the envelopes. She was very thankful and then she told me that her and her daughter were talking the other day and that she was going to buy her some groceries and put gas in her car.She told her that she did not have to do that because God was going to take care of it.The most awesome thing is the amount of money she received is exactly what her and her daughter had said it would take to pay for it.This is an awesome family and I am happy to be associated with them. This is a special lady and a great woman of God.She is a great example for everyone to follow.Thank You Mrs. Pat we Love You.

5.A family in Summerdale – This was a family that we have been knowing for several years.Me and my wife really had a struggle with the direction on this one, but God finally got us on the right path. When my wife gave the envelope to the lady she opened it and read it and she cried for gladness because they were in such need for it.We later found out that if they did not receive this that there lights were going to be turned out.Now if that is not God’s timing I don’t know what is.I was truly touched because every member of the family come up to me and thanked me, that really was something you could see how much it meant to all of them.

6.Amber – this is a young woman with a rare form of liver cancer.Me and my wife actually have never met her.Her friend had contacted us about buying a puppy from us, she had told us that she had cancer and that it would be good for her daughter to get a puppy. So me and my wife talked it over and we felt like we were to give her the puppy. So the friend come and got the puppy and we lost contact with them. When the church did the faith simulus I knew that she would be one of the people but I did not have any info.I looked and hunted for her for about 3 weeks , then I had an idea to call someone for help and thanks to that person I found her.I emailed her and she had just got back from MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas. She was not feeling good and could not talk.We have communicated several times by email and soon me and my wife will meet her.(I am looking forward to that day).I will update you again once we meet her and have the opportunity to bless her.She is a inspiration to my family how she is such a strong fighter,May God heal your body and bless your family.

7.A man from Troy, Alabama – Here is where God changed everything up on me, and how I went from 6 to 7.I had just been to Mobile and I was coming back to go to Church.Me and my wife had just got off the phone and we had said tha we were going to meet at church it was about 5:15 on Saturday. Then I was just about to go in to Burger King to get something to eat a man come up to the door of my vehicle. He asked me of I was in need of a measuring tape he had a brand new one.I told him that actually I had plenty of them.He had run out of gas in his car just right down the road.So I told him that I would go get him some gas when I reached down I saw that my wallet was not there.Thinking about what to do I thought well I got the money from the church. So I got the money and told him about the faith stimulus of the church. He was so touched, and he started tearing up and crying,Before he left we had a prayer. This man shared with me about some of his past but he told me that Jesus had forgive him for all that.He was a good testament of someone that is in a bad situation but making the very best of it.He made me think that in some of my worst days may be his best days.

I just want to thank God,Bay Community Church Family, and all the fine people that we were able to bless and the ones that we still are going to bless.Thank You Pastor Jerry for giving the push to do these good deeds for people like Jesus did.I am amazed at the different locations that the Blessing went.(Pensacola,Florida, Lillian, Alabama, Purvis, Mississippi, Semmes, Alabama, Troy, Alabama, and Fairhope, Alabama).I want to thank my wife because it took alot of my time away from her and my family. This has been one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my whole life.I will continue to bless people not for any exposure but for the goodness of the Lord. The most important thing of the whole situation is the reason why I (James), am back in church and able to bless others. The only person that I have to thank is my precious angel (Bri). For without her tradegy I would probable still be in sin and not living for God.I Love You Bri Bri.

After carefully seeking direction from God, the donation was given to a ministry I know in South America. They are working on purchasing the building they are currently renting. This building serves not just as a temple for church meetings but also as a home for orphans, abused and abandoned mothers. This ministry also has a radio station that plays not just Christian music and preaching but also secular music (with clean content) and family oriented programs seeking to reach the not just the Christian community but the unsaved souls as well. They have a thankful heart and appreciated the help very much!

Brothers may God bless you; I personally want to thank you for blessing others. I had been praying that God would place the person needing this money in my path. It was a young lady who unfortunately has cancer and very little time left to live and does not have sufficient funds for her treatments. I thank you again and ask that you are praying for her, for God to manifest in her life in a great way. May God multiply one hundred percent the money you have given and may He pour out His blessings over you and the whole church family.
