After Pastor Ricardo gave us the envelope with money in it, he told us that we could not give it back to the church or use it personally. I went home and gave it to my cousin and his wife. It was their wedding anniversary that day and I gave it to them to use to celebrate their special day with their children since they are very pressed for money and did were not going to be able to do anything special.

When we prayed about the envelope a young family came to my mind. I prayed for reassurance and the right time to share God’s Stimulus money with this family. They are unchurched, young with 2 small children. One afternoon I shared with them about God’s Stimulus money and told them the envelope was for them. “But it hasn’t been opened” she said. “I know” I said, “it’s for you, not me or us”. Read more »

Decided to double it

My husband and I both were at the money give away service so before I opened the envelope, I decided to double it. It turned out we both got 40.00. I decided to round mine up to an even 100.00 but then it took me about a week and a half to decide where it should go. My husband gave his 40.00 to a couple of blind people that ran a very small concession stand in his office building. Read more »

I am telling my story as a recipient of the faith stimulus money. Let me give some background before I continue with my story. My son who has been incarcerated for eight years was just recently paroled and lives with my husband and I. As one might imagine the transition for him at times has been quite stressful and costly. We are in no way wealthy people and it has created Read more »

An on-going blessing

My friend and I decided to pool our money to do something to bless someone. We came up with a few ideas but neither of us really felt that God had directed us to do anything at the time. A few weeks passed and our co-worker had a very dramatic death in the family. Her sister committed suicide, leaving behind a 4 year old little boy named Gryphon. As soon as this happened, Read more »

A boy in need

A few days after receiving the money envelope I spoke with my sister who lives in Puebla, Mexico by phone. She told me how on her way to the store one day recently she’d met a boy and his mother on the street. She asked what was wrong with the boy since he was obviously loosing all his hair and looked sickly. His mother was grieved and said she did not know, the boy had started to loose his hair and had been having such high fevers that would lead to convulsions. Read more »

Very grateful

I decided to wait another week and keep praying to find the person that God would indicate I help. Sunday we went to visit a family in this community, Tony, Rosa and their precious daughter Rosario. We shared with them around 30 minutes. We were very grateful for their attention and hospitality. Tony has been unemployed for 6 months now, Rosa cannot work at the moment (they have a toddler and a baby on the way), and besides they tend to a sick person in a wheel chair. Read more »

Martha

I spent time in prayer and every time a certain woman, named Martha, came to mind whom I accompanied through her child labor without really knowing her, but she asked me to be with her since she had no one else to be with her since her spouse was in Mississippi. This person has no relationships with anyone in her community since her spouse forbids her to go out or have friends without his knowledge. She has 4 children now, including the new baby, and he has 6 children in Honduras. Read more »

A friends need

Brothers, I want to share with you that the money I was given in the envelope I was able to send it to Mexico in order to help a friend who needs the money in order for his wife to have surgery. The value of this operation is about: $8,000 USD. I am thankful I was able to respond somehow to this need.
