Martha
I spent time in prayer and every time a certain woman, named Martha, came to mind whom I accompanied through her child labor without really knowing her, but she asked me to be with her since she had no one else to be with her since her spouse was in Mississippi. This person has no relationships with anyone in her community since her spouse forbids her to go out or have friends without his knowledge. She has 4 children now, including the new baby, and he has 6 children in Honduras. He is the only one who works and sometimes very few hours. I thought of them since one of her sons goes to school with holes in his shoe soles. When I went to visit them he still had his shoes all torn up, since they had not been able to buy him some shoes because of the many expenses they have. When I blessed her with the envelope of money the church gave me, she did not want to take it since her spouse would get angry and she did not want to upset him. I explained it was a blessing and she should not refuse it since she had been the person God had placed in my heart for it and that I could speak to her spouse if were to become a problem. Finally she thanked me and said she would use it to buy the uniforms and school supplies. God thank you and I pray this family can accept to know your love someday!
