I received my stimulus gift of $40.00 at the Sunday morning service, I knew right away what I would do with it. An older couple who live nearby are having a hard time financially. The husband has been out of work for a little over a year & he has been everywhere trying to find a job. The wife works 30 hours a week & has two bad knees & has arthritis & it is hard as she has to stand on her feet all day.
They are not quite old enough to qualify for Social Security & Medicare & do not have insurance as they can not afford it.
I gave them the $40.00 plus a little of my own & they started crying as they were so appreciative.
I think it was wonderful for the church to do this to help the people in our community who are having a hard time right now.
I enjoy all of Pastor Jerry’s sermons.
