Sowing love
I spent the day at the Grand Hotel pool with my children and was on my way back home when my kids started complaining they were starving and nothing but Krystals could satisfy their hunger. I would never have stopped at Kyrstals (do not like it) but did none the less. As I whipped through the drive through a young woman was getting my change ready and asked me if I had any jumper cables. I said “no, I don’t sorry.” She looked across the parking lot and shook her head no to a women who was broke down in the parking lot. She gave me my change and asked me to pull forward to wait for my order. She then told the lady in the parking lot she would run out to her car and see if she had any cables. This girl had a childlike joy in her as she skipped to her car hoping she would be able to help this lady out. Unfortunately she didn’t have any either. She had a brief look of disappointment on her face and then the next second she was full of joy again with another great idea. She said ,” I know what I’ll do!! I’ll call my sister to come over here! She has jumper cables in her car.” All the while the lady who was broke down kept saying, “no really, I’m fine I can call my husband.” But this joyful girl would not hear of it. She was determined to help this lady. All of a sudden the money from the church popped into my head. I had put it in my glove box and was not thinking of it at all at the moment. I mean I had three screaming, tired hungry kids in my backseat. So the fact that it hit me like a brick across my head made me think maybe this was the person God intended to bless with the $40.00 dollars. She brought me my food and I handed the envelope to her and told her where I went to chuch and what we were instructed to do with the money. I explained to her we were sowing love into our community and that I had been praying that the money I received would go to who God intended it to. I then told her I was giving it to her. She blushed four different shades of red and shyly took the envelope and said quietly ” thak you … thank you so much.” As I drove off I thought about, why her? Then I realized…. This girl is working, full of joy despite whatever circumstances she is facing and was determined to go out of her way to help someone else. God is good!
