I stopped to get gas a few minutes ago, and when I went into pay for it there sat a man on the bench that I know is homeless and is an alcoholic. His family talks very bad about him and has thrown him out on the streets. He looked pretty rough. While I was pumping gas, I thought about the money that the church handed out. I had it in my glove box. I walked up to him and said that I am a member at Bay Community Church and explained to him about the money. I told him that it is not my money it is God’s. I asked him to promise me that he would not buy alcohol with it. He promised and was grateful. The feeling that I had afterwards was awesome! Even though it was $20.00’s, to a person that does not have anything it is a lot. I think the church is doing great things. I am proud that I am apart of it.
