My family and I were eating at Guy Harvey’s restaurant Sunday afternoon in Orange Beach and began talking with the waitress about the famous Guy Harvey and his unique signature all over the restaurant. She stated that Mr. Harvey was in the restaurant the night before and was very generous with this gratuity, although she was not assigned to his table. She further stated that she had been praying for “that $100 tip some day.” When she walked away I told my husband “this is it, my seed, I truly believe God is talking to me at this very moment and I need to bless her with the seed money I received at Saturday nights service.” It was just perfect! And oh how wonderful it feels to see someone benefit from acts of kindness! She hugged me for at least three minutes, then she told me her story. She is a 37-year-old single mom of 2 teenagers and a toddler who recently had the courage to leave her abusive husband. She is finishing college, and working part-time at a local church and part-time at the restaurant.

The message of giving truly had a impact on my spirit and has forever changed my heart.
